Following an appeal for donations to assist thousands of families in Dominica affected by recent hurricanes, charity organization Food For The Poor (FFP) Jamaica is expressing thanks to the many individuals who, and organizations which, have responded in cash or kind to support the cause. One such entity is the National Export-Import (EXIM) Bank of Jamaica through its recent donation of a cheque valued at J$100,000. Here FFP Jamaicas Executive Director David Mair (centre) accepts the cheque from EXIM Banks Human Resource and Administration Manager Stephanie Murdock, while other representatives of the Bank look on. The presentation was made on Thursday, November 9. Thanks to the generous support of several individuals and organizations in Jamaica, Food For The Poor has shipped four containers to Dominica comprising critically-needed items such as water, canned foods and toiletries to help with the recovery process.
